Winner

Previously, in my attempt to fit into the craft blogger world, I hosted a giveaway.  To win, you had to identify the make, model and year of the motorcycle in the picture below.  Bonus entry for knowing the genre.

I figured this would be a pretty easy non-giveaway giveaway.  I mean, I really didn't expect any of you to identify it.

In hosting (and I use that term loosely) the giveaway (term also loosely used), I apparently broke all sorts of blog giveaway etiquette.

  1. The giveaway item should be clearly identified.  Turns out people like to know what you're giving away. I guess "have Mandy send you something crafty" isn't specific enough.
  2. The giveaway item should be in your possession. I probably should have cleared it with Mandy first. Again, I thought the chances of a correct answer were pretty slim.
  3. You should have permission from the owner of the item to give it away.  Ditto above.
  4. The giveaway should have a solid end date.  I guess I just left it open.  Mandy thinks I forgot.  I like to think I was just being flexible.
It's a 1980  Honda CB750F.  Genre is cafe racer or simply cafe. My vision for this bike is below.  I asked Mandy if any of you would care to know what the vision is and she said "nope".  Just think of it as manly "re-purposing" of old worn out "craft supplies".  I'm dedicated to saving our landfills from lots of old bike parts, even if I have to spend thousands of dollars to do so.  A nice bike is just a side effect of my greenness.

Anyways, there were several entries and from RANDOMLY selecting from among the three correct entries (Lux had two entries for knowing the genre and Whelan had one for being within 1 year)...Stephanie Lux is the winner!  By "randomly", I mean I held three fingers behind my back and mentally assigned an entry to each finger and had Mandy pick a number from one to three.

For being the winner, Mandy will send her...something random.  Kind of like a bag of crap.  We'll call it Crafty Crap giveaway.  Maybe I'll do it again.

  1. So excited to get my bag of crap! :) I do have to give credit to my husband for giving me the correct answer. Why his brain has that information in it I will never understand.
