Mandy's Next Project

Mandy claims she's going to make a manly apron for her next project. Not sure why that's necessary.

Have any good suggestions for her?

  1. Camo skirt with a hairy chest top... does it make it manly to call the bottom a skirt?

  2. Bottom half made out of jeans,(maybe even separated in the middle like jeans) and the top half made out of a dress shirt.

A good and sturdy Blacksmith or Welder's Apron.

  5. Shop apron a la Roundhouse http://www.round-house.com/workwear/99.html - the guy on the left is holding grill utensils. I would strongly suggest, however, an apron based on their bib overalls http://www.round-house.com/workwear/966-7c.html - all kinds of cool pockets on the front, and have the neck strap attach on both sides with overall-like sliding clasps. Have her make one for me, just for practice, before she does yours.

  6. P.S. Do NOT use a metal utensil in that nonstick pan! Real men only cook in cast iron.

  9. My husband's family was having a family version of "Chopped" over Thanksgiving break so I made him an apron that I thought was classy: navy blue with a skinny light tan tie and matching colored band to slip a towel through. The light tan was in order to match an apron his sister bought me for my birthday last year...otherwise the color scheme would have been different (black tie, red apron). I'd give you a link but I haven't gotten around to blogging about the second half of our Thanksgiving break yet...oops.
