Blueprints and a Board

About a year ago Mandy blew up a huge picture of the girls on an "engineering print" and mounted it on a piece of foam. It went viral on Pinterest and Mandy loved the traffic it generated. I loved the fact that it was called an "engineering print."

Lately she's been wanting to make another huge picture of our family rolling on the ground laughing, since that's something we do all the time naturally. Once we got the pictures taken, she started planning out how to hang it on our wall. She wanted something a little classier than foam, which frankly didn't narrow down the materials possibilities that much. So she settled on "a board". Much more specific. Nonetheless, I was tasked with buying said board. I briefly considered buying a 2x4.

Fortunately I was given a detailed blueprint to aid me in my selection. Yes, it's to scale. Yes, I'm the good-looking one in the middle. And yes, that's a drafting pencil.

  4. Thanks for the laugh - I do the same thing to my husband, but my writing utensil is typically a neon florescent glitter gel pen that warps his vision.
