Who's Rube Goldberg anyways?

Did you know I built a marble machine in the garage a while ago? Mandy hasn't blogged about it yet, which is surprising in and of itself, but I'm sure her blog post will show up soon. The kids have been having fun setting it up as a Rube Goldberg machine with marbles, PVC pipe, duct tape, Thomas the Train tracks, Hot Wheels, etc.

I'm trying to encourage this type of creativity. I think this video is basically is what they have in mind, but Mandy won't let them use the minivan in neutral even though we have a sloped drive-way.

  1. You are officially the coolest dad ever.

When I was a kid I spent hours creating these kinds of devices, my parents never let me use the family car either. Maybe its for the best.
