Big Trash Day

This weekend featured Big Trash Day. This biannual even is an opportunity for me to stick a bunch of junk on the curb and for Mandy to drive slowly through the neighborhood looking for treasures in other people's piles.

On our way home this neighborhood this afternoon, Mandy suggested we drive around the block. Our nine year old asked, "What are we going to do, just drive around and look at other people's trash?"

After a while, he got more into it and would exclaim, "Look, they have some nice trash!"

    We LOVE "bulky item pick-up day." I've gotten great flower pots, a groovy old wooden office chair, little tykes toys. . .And someone gets my junk!

    Love bulky item pickup! Its better then when they bring in dumpsters to the town square. Its hard to pick the good junk when its being tossed in the bin.
