Reorg Part 2: Keeping Paint out of the Garage

We're on family vacation and I guess I'm not a hard core blogger because I haven't been taking breaks to blog. Mandy "pre-blogged" for a week, but that seemed like a lot of work. I haven't even been writing blog posts in my head like I should have been doing. But now Mandy is driving and the kids are fed and content for the time being, so I have some free time. I looked at Mandy's blog and there's the board I drilled 77 holes in. Another project I concocted for Mandy.

You can kind of tell which things on Mandy's blog came from one of my ideas and which ones she dreamed up.  Here's a couple useful guidelines:

  • Made of wood: Trevor
  • Made of fabric: Mandy
  • Useful: Trevor
  • No useful purpose other than decoration: Mandy
  • Requires power tools: Trevor
  • Requires a sewing machine or hot glue gun: Mandy
  • Uses high quality materials: Trevor
  • Repurposes another persons junk: Mandy

From reading Mandy's blog, you may think that I sit around all day dreaming up little projects that I can do to provide Mandy with blog material. Or that Mandy mentions little problems that need solved and I hop to it. That's not quite accurate.  So why do I do projects? Using this paint bottle holder project as an example, consider the following answers:

    a. I wanted to get paint bottles out of the garage
    b. I was tired of rummaging through a box of paint to find a certain color
    c. I wanted to get a new set of forstner bits
    d. All of the above

  1. Already showed this to my husband and if he makes it for me, I'm going to blog about it too!! I'll give all three of you credit...Mandy, you and Sam!

  2. I pick C for sure with a little of A and B thrown in. I have seen my hubby want to buy brand new expensive bits for one simple project. But then again I find myself wanting to buy new "tools" as well for my own simple projects. ;)

  3. Bahahahaha okay this seriously cracks me up, because I am 100% positive this is what goes on in my husband's head. My favorite part: "repurposes another persons junk". Hilarious & very true of so many of us creative women!

  6. hahaha! hilarious! my husband is so glad/disappointed that i use all the power tools more than he does. it doesn't take much to talk me into letting him buy new tools, because i will almost always get to use them first! :) yay for forstner bits!
